Direct Support Professionals
Breakthrough Corporation's direct support professionals assist people with Autism in community settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism is preferred but full training is provided. Full and part-time shifts are available including third shift and weekend shifts. Our most pressing needs are usually on weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends. For more information call 247-0065.
Residential Supervisors
2. Supervisors oversee a home of 2-3 supported individuals. All aspects of the lives of the individuals supported and the operation of the home are involved. The RS works primarily a 3-11 p.m. four days per week. Each RS has one administrative day per week with flexible hours. The Supervisor is on call 24/7 and is the first line of response on all issues from staff shortages to emergencies. Previous experience with DIDD and the support needs of adult individuals with autism is helpful. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in psychology, social work, special education or a related field); experience may be considered in lieu of education. Past work supporting people with Autistic Spectrum disorders and/or developmental disabilities as well as past supervisory experience is desirable.
Behavior Analyst
Breakthrough is seeking a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) to work in a variety of community settings to develop plans and support strategies and provide training to individuals with autism, their families and staff. The behavior analyst will work primarily with older children and adults; job responsibilities will include both hands on work with individuals on the autism spectrum as well as training of family members and paraprofessional staff. Occupational Therapist
Applicants should have a Master’s degree and be a licensed Occupational Therapist. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is required as is experience providing sensory integration therapy. Salary is negotiable based on education, experience and previous employment history. Applicants must meet qualifications to deliver services through Tennessee’s Medicaid Waiver.
