Through collaboration with The University of Tennessee Department of Exercise, Sports and Leisure Studies and the YMCA of East Tennessee, Breakthrough Corporation offers a Respite and Recreation program for adults (age 18 and older) with autism. Held on Saturdays, this program allows individuals with autism to engage in exercise, skill building, relaxation and social interaction with peers, as well as providing respite for caregivers.

The Respite and Recreation program matches each participant one-on-one or in small groups with trained staff.

Supported Living, Personal Assistance, Day Services

Breakthrough is licensed to provide a continuum of services. All of our support and management staff are specially trained to understand the unique needs of adults with autism. If you have an adult child in need of such services, please contact the Breakthrough office in order to make a referral for our admissions committee to review.

Breakthrough Neighborhood

Construction is underway at our south Knoxville location. Three homes for adults with autism should be finished in the Fall of 2009 with three additional homes planned for the future. We are actively seeking land donations for additional construction projects. If you or someone you know has land that Breakthrough could develop please contact the Breakthrough office at 865-247-0065 or e-mail us at: info@breakthroughknoxville.com for more information.
